Prof. Dr. Mufti Mahmud

Prof. Dr. Mufti Mahmud  is Senior Lecturer of Computing and Technology at the School of Science and Technology,  Faculty of Computing Technology, Nottingham Trent University, UK. He received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from University of Madras, Chennai, India in 2001. He received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science Department of Studies in Computer Science from University of Mysore, Mysore, India in 2003. He received his Master of Second Level in Nano and Micro Electromechanical Systems from University of Trento, Italy in 2007. He received his Doctorate in Information Engineering from University of Padova, Italy in 2010. Dr Mahmud leads the M.Sc. in Data Analytics for Business and the Data Analytics strand of the Online MBA courses. He is a member of the NTU Distance Learning Governance, Operation and Steering committee as well as the International Mobility committee. he is also serving as the coordinator of the local organizing committee chair for the IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (IEEE WCCI) 2020 to be held in Glasgow, UK in 2020. Dr Mahmud’s research vision is to contribute towards a secure, smart, healthy and better world to live in. Dr Mahmud’s research involves Computational-, Health- and Social- sciences, and uses Neuroscience, Healthcare, Applied Data Science, Computational Neuroscience, Big Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Software Engineering; and plans to develop secure computational tools to advance healthcare access in low-resource settings. He was editor and committee’s member of journals and conferences as a Chair, Guest Editor and General Chair such as Associate Editor in Cognitive Computation (Springer), Editor in Advances in Robotics and Automation (Omics Publishing Group) and Guest editor: Cognitive Computation (Springer), Advances in Robotics and Automation.  He has a patent, copyright and award. He was as Keynote Speaker and Professional Talk for many conferences.
